When the recent flooding hit Iligan City, many families were caught off guard. Homes were submerged, daily work was disrupted, and basic necessities quickly became difficult to access. Within hours, messages began coming in from our students, community members, and local residents asking for help.
At Flourish Project PH, we knew we had to act quickly.
This relief drive became our first emergency response effort as a community, and it reminded us why this mission exists — to support people not only in learning digital skills, but also in times of urgent need.
How the Relief Drive Started
The initiative began with a simple call for help shared within our network. Friends, clients, students, and partners immediately responded with generosity and compassion. Donations began arriving almost instantly, proving how powerful a community can be when it comes together with one goal: helping others recover.
What started as a small effort quickly grew into a coordinated relief operation.

Donation Summary
Wave 1 Donations Received: ₱15,423
Allocation of funds:
₱10,796 – Relief goods and food packs
₱3,085 – Logistics, repacking materials, and transportation
₱1,542 – Reserved for the next relief wave
Wave 2 Donations Received: ₱4,000
These funds are currently allocated for additional food pack distribution for affected families.
Every peso donated was carefully planned and tracked to ensure maximum impact.
What We Purchased
The donations were used to prepare essential food packs designed to support families for several days. Each pack included practical, easy-to-prepare items such as:
Rice
Canned goods
Instant noodles
Coffee and basic pantry items
Other essential food supplies
Our goal was to provide items that could be quickly cooked or consumed, especially for families still cleaning and repairing their homes.

Repacking and Volunteer Effort
The repacking process was a full team effort. Volunteers came together to sort, pack, and prepare relief goods with care and urgency. Every pack represented the kindness of someone who chose to help.
This stage of the relief drive was a beautiful reminder that generosity doesn’t only come in the form of money — it also comes in time, effort, and willingness to serve.
Distribution Day: Upper Hinaplanon Gym
The first wave of relief goods was successfully distributed at Upper Hinaplanon Gym in Iligan City.
Families arrived carrying stories of flooded homes, damaged belongings, and disrupted livelihoods. While a food pack cannot solve everything, it provided immediate relief and reassurance that they were not alone.
Seeing smiles, gratitude, and hope return — even in small ways — was the most meaningful outcome of the day.

Gratitude to Our Donors and Volunteers
This relief drive was made possible by the generosity of donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the trust of our community.
To everyone who gave, shared our posts, packed goods, and helped distribute assistance — thank you. Your kindness reached families who truly needed it.
This is what community looks like.
Transparency and Accountability
Flourish Project PH is committed to transparency. We will continue to share updates, photos, and reports so our donors can clearly see the impact of their generosity.
Every donation entrusted to us is handled with care, responsibility, and purpose.
What’s Next
Wave 2 of our relief efforts is now being prepared using the latest donations we received. Our team continues to monitor the situation and identify families who still need assistance.
The need does not end after the first distribution, and neither does our commitment to help.
